Pancreatic cancer has few early symptoms, making early detection extremely difficult. It is a highly aggressive cancer with rapid metastasis and the lowest survival rate.

Over the past 30 years, survival rates and prognosis have shown little improvement: five-year survival rate remains around 13%.  

Approximately 40% of pancreatic cancer cases are diagnosed at a metastatic stage, with a five-year survival rate of 1%.  

When diagnosed at Stage IA, the five-year survival rate is 14%.  

High Metastatic Potential and Tumor Microenvironment

Pancreatic cancer shows the most severe level of desmoplasia (fibrosis within tissues), followed by breast and prostate cancer, while lung cancer shows relatively lower levels.
