POLYTAXEL®
A next-generation anticancer therapy
First-line Cancer Treatment
Polymer-Based Low-Toxicity First-Line Anticancer Therapy
POLYTAXEL®, often referred to as a “pain-free” anticancer therapy, is a novel formulation in which docetaxel—a widely used chemotherapeutic agent—is incorporated into an advanced Polymer-Based Drug Delivery System (DDS).

POLYTAXEL® Structure
Component | Role | Application / Characteristics |
Docetaxel | Drug | A chemotherapeutic agent |
Aconiticacid | Linker | Naturally occurring substance in the body |
Lysine | Spacer | Essential amino acid |
Poly (phosphazene) | Backbone | Applied in humans (U.S., Europe) |
MPEG 550 | Solubilizing | Widely used in drug delivery systems |
POLYTAXEL®
Key Features
POLYTAXEL® overcomes the limitations of conventional chemotherapies by enabling a significantly higher maximum tolerated dose (NOAEL). It delivers optimized efficacy by safely targeting cancer cells with minimal concerns about side effects.
* No Observed Adverse Effect Level
Key Features 01
Gradual degradation in the body allows controlled and sustained drug release.
Key Features 02
Through the EPR effect, it selectively accumulates in tumor tissues after passing through normal tissues.
Key Features 03
Minimizes systemic drug exposure, significantly reducing toxicity and side effects compared to conventional therapies.
Comparison of Actual Dose vs NOAEL
Compared to conventional chemotherapies, toxicity is significantly reduced, while the allowable dosing range is greatly expanded— offering a next-generation anticancer solution with enhanced therapeutic potential.
Docetaxel
Due to its low NOAEL, conventional
cytotoxic chemotherapy requires
doses exceeding the safe threshold
to achieve efficacy.

POLYTAXEL®
Compared to docetaxel,
Polytaxel significantly increases
the safe dosing range (up to ~44×).

A New Paradigm in Cancer Treatment
A new therapeutic paradigm that minimizes toxicity while maintaining efficacy through a NOAEL-based dosing strategy.
Metronomic Therapy

Repeated low-dose administration precisely controls systemic toxicity.
Suppresses tumor growth rather than directly eliminating tumors, helping preserve the patient’s immune system.
Requires frequent dosing, which may increase patient burden.
NOAEL Therapy

Prioritizes patient safety and tolerability while minimizing toxicity.
Induces effective tumor cell death.
Applies long-circulation technology to maintain therapeutic levels while reducing dosing frequency.
Preserves the patient’s immune system throughout treatment.
MTD Therapy

High-dose administration aims for aggressive tumor reduction at the maximum tolerable level.
Increased risk of toxicity and side effects due to high-dose exposure.
May damage normal cells and weaken the immune system, potentially leading to resistance.

It is engineered at an ultra-small nanoparticle size of approximately 10 nm to enable effective delivery even to hard-to-reach organs such as the pancreas. To further enhance delivery efficiency to major organs, poorly water-soluble docetaxel has been reformulated into a water-soluble form, improving its bioavailability and distribution
